stasusStones-1gy23xj-224x300 Stasis Stones in the RotundaStasis Stones, an art installation by Jordan Fowler, is currently on display in the Addlestone Library rotunda.

This piece is a balancing act of forms, constructed from rebar and steel sheeting. Standing nearly ten feet tall, Stasis Stones is a recently completed project by Jordan Fowler. It was previously shown at last year’s North Charleston Arts Festival. After its visit in the Addlestone Library, it will travel to Lake City, SC to compete in the 2015 Art Fields Competition.

Jordan Fowler is a Senior at College of Charleston and a double major in Studio Art and Computing in the Arts. He grew up in Rock Hill, SC and has been living in Charleston for five years. Jordan also works as an assistant to the preparator at the Halsey Institute. More of his work will be featured next Fall in the Charleston Supported Art’s Program.

Addlestone Library is open to the College of Charleston community and affiliates via card access. Visitors may access Addlestone Library Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, and must present a government issued ID and sign in upon entry.
