Playstation Network Compromised - College of Charleston Libraries

If you play online games and use the Playstation Network to play online games with others on your PS3, then you may want to take some precautions.  It seems their network was compromised and your personal information has been taken.

What does this mean?  Well, the first thing you would want to do is change your password to any other sites that you had set using the same username/password as the Playstation Network.  For instance, if you use the same login to that as you do to your bank,  then you would want to change your bank password.  The hackers also got access to any security questions you set up with Sony, so if you used those same questions elsewhere, you would want to change those as well.  Lastly, you would want to keep an eye on any credit cards you had associated with the Playstation Network.  They literally don’t know whether or not that information was compromised, so your best bet is to play it cautious and keep an eye on your account to make sure no fraudulent charges show up there.
