Dr. Tuten, a Lowcountry native and expert on the defunct South Carolina rice industry, will examine the unique natural landscape of our region and how it shaped and was shaped by sportsmen over the past one hundred and fifty years.

The talk, entitled All Lovers of Nature Love a Swamp: Wading and Wandering Through the Lowcountry Marsh, accompanies an exhibit in the Library’s Special Collections of the Haslam Collection of Angling and Sporting books as part of the Southeastern Wildlife Exhibition (SEWE).
