Addlestone Library Welcomes New Interim Dean John White - College of Charleston Libraries

After nearly thirty years Dr. David Cohen has stepped down as Dean of the Library. We are grateful to David for his years of dedication and are excited to welcome John White as Interim Dean of the Addlestone Library.

Since 2001 Dr. John White has been with the Addlestone Library, first with Special Collections, then later as the head of Digital Scholarships and Services. He currently serves as the Director of the program in the Carolina Lowcountry and Atlantic World and the Lowcountry Digital Library.  He has written numerous articles on southern history and presented a number of lectures on digital history, teaching with primary sources, and the politics of desegregation in the South.
